About Me
My name is Jackson Maier. I’m a photographer born and raised in New York, graduating from NYU Tisch School of the Arts in 2021. I’m a creative director and visual artist. Most of my work has been based in photography, where I practice digital but concentrate in 35mm/120mm film. Many projects I’ve been brought on for have been as a creative director or director of photography for video productions as well.
Due to the needs and locations of my clients, regional experiences and comfort with quick adaptation are a valuable part of my experience. There have been very rewarding moments from photography intensives I worked on, like in the U.S. deep southern states of Mississippi and Arkansas. Then there are others that reward the same but differ dramatically, such as the time when I went on to learn more about art and direction by spending 3 months in Gauteng, South Africa to fulfill a very different set of client needs in a radically different environment.
Coming from a French background while living in North America has naturally based my work between New York City and Montréal. There is no limit to where I will go, this is simply where you can find me. In respect to, and celebration of, Québec’s only official National language and federal Canadian bilingualism, my services (along with this website) are available in French and English.
